RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil – Jamaicans will be out in their numbers again today as the 2016 Olympic Games continue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The greatest sprinter in history, Usain Bolt, will hit the track again when the gun goes off for round one of the men’s 200 metres.

There will also be round one races in the women’s 100m hurdles.

Today’s program will be rounded off at 8:45 pm (local time) with the final of the men’s 110m hurdles after the semi-finals earlier in the evening.

The athletes will hope for better conditions than the torrential rain that accompanied the heats.

Omar McLeod was fastest in the wet, winning his heat in 13.27 seconds. He is the world indoor champion, has the fastest time in the world this year, and aims to win Jamaica’s first gold medal in the event.
